Maharashtra Assembly Speaker Rahul Narvekar on Wednesday termed Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut's alleged reference to the legislator as "serious" and said he would investigate the matter.

The Speaker adjourned the House of Commons for the day after chaos erupted over the Rajya Sabha MP's statement.

Narvekar said he has accepted the breach of privilege notice against Raut and will issue his decision on it on March 8.
